The Wall Street Journal has published an interview with Steve Jobs, in it he says the total of downloads from the newly opened App store is in excess of 60 million. Now admittedly most of the downloads are the free applications, but they are indicating actual sales of over $1million a day which isn't too shaby considering it's only been going a month. It remains to be seen whether the initial interest will be sustainable, especially given the low quality of many of the applications available so far. |
