For those new to the iPlayer service, it offers both seven-day catch-up television and live streaming free of charge to UK licence fee payers, and has up till been available only on PC and Mac computers... |

We didn't think we would be seeing a laptop to make the Asus Eee look expensive any time soon, but Elonex have announced the Elonex One which they are calling the first sub £100 laptop. Hardware details are a little sketchy but they are listing a 3 hour battery life, Wi-Fi, flash-based hard drive, hard-wearing case and wireless music server (whatever that may be) and the whole thing weighs in at less than 1kg. Interestingly, the keyboard can be detached to allow the unit to be used in a tablet mode, although as the budget doesn't seem to run to a touchscreen the usefulness of that remains to be seen... |

Well this certainly caught us at Berble by surprise, Sony Ericsson have announced a Windows Mobile handset, an impressive looking piece of hardware it is too. All of Sony Ericsson's current handsets use UIQ, which runs on top of Symbian OS so the move to Windows Mobile is unexpected. The stand out features of the X1 include a 800x480 3" touch screen and a slide out curved querty keyboard. Check out the photos and video after the jump... |

Despite only entering the market six months ago, Apple is now the third best selling smartphone manufacturer in the world. Well according to Canalys anyway, they estimate that Apple captured 7% of the global device market and a whopping 28% of the US market. It sounds even more impressive when you realise that the figures effectively put Apple ahead of all Windows Mobile device suppliers combined... |
